Q. Why hasn’t my contract been accepted?
A. Please allow for up to a week for normal contracts to be accepted. Large contracts valued at over 500M and contracts containing items that require additional oversight (ie. abyssal mods) may take longer to process. Contracts may take up to 2 weeks if there is a large backlog of pending or large contracts. Contact a Buyback manager if your contract has been pending for more than a week.
Q. Why was my contract rejected?
A. If you contract items to Buyback that are over the accepted limits (750m for ore/ice/gas, 500m for all other items), your contract may be delayed or rejected, or you may be asked to split your contract into multiple contracts. If you contract ore, ice, and/or gas mixed in with other items, your contract will be rejected, and you will receive an evemail explaining why with instructions to resubmit the contract with the ore, ice, and/or gas in a separate contract from the other items. Contracts containing items that are not accepted by Buyback - blueprints, nexus chips, or ship hulls - will be rejected unless those items are being donated. Courier contracts will not be accepted by Buyback; please use our Hauling wing or another hauling service as Buyback does not provide hauling services.
Q. Where are you accepting contracts from?
A. Currently, Buyback is accepting contracts from any locations in HS or LS. However, any contracts made in locations not on the list on the main page will have hauling fees deducted from the payout.
Buyback reserves the right to reject any contracts made in null sec or wormhole space (with the exception of Atlantis). Please contact a Buyback manager BEFORE making a contract if you would like to sell assets to Buyback in NS or wormhole space.
Q. How does Buyback value items?
A. Most items are valued at Jita buy using https://appraise.imperium.nexus/. Ore, ice, and gas are valued using the Mining calculator at https://resources.empyreans.org/mining, with reprocessing set to 65%.
Q. Why should I sell items to Buyback?
A. First, it’s easy money. You simply contract your unwanted items to Buyback, and get isk back. Secondly, it takes the responsibility of moving, selling, or using items off of you. Thirdly, Buyback funnels the assets you sell us to running our structures, fitting ships for fleets, helping support alliance activities, and providing a means to easily get paid for in-game activities. Finally, Buyback offers more isk for items than other popular public buyback services.
Q. What’s the catch?
A. Buyback values items at Jita buy or 65% reprocessing rate (ore/ice/gas). It is often likely that CoE members can sell their items themselves for higher values on markets if they are interested in gaining max profit.
Q. What does the money generated from Buyback get used for?
