The goal is to complete objectives in the constellation surrounding the Faction Warfare points of interest for one of the four main Factions (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar).
Each Faction will gain points per day per system controlled within the Constellation(s) with a larger point bonus for the critical systems.
While you do not need to be in Faction Warfare to aid your Faction in their activities, you will need to join the Militia if you wish to aid in System control. System control influences sites spawning for that Faction within the Constellation(s).
Failing to achieve the goal in time will likely result in the loss of the opportunity for that Faction.
Both sides of a conflict can win, both sides can lose.

Objective: Achieve points for your faction by delivering special ore to Faction NPC sites located in Athounon system. Ore is found in new Ore anomalies that spawn only within the Serthoulde Constellation

Result: Acquisition of sufficient ore will result in that Factions Stargate to Athounon

Objective: Achieve points for your faction by hacking cans in special Faction specific Signatures called “Observation Data Hub”. These sites must be scanned down.
Site allows only T1 and Faction Frigates and are defended by guards who will shoot anyone not belonging to THAT MILIITIA. Gallente seem to be still unwelcome in Minmatar sites, for example. Sites have two difficulty of can Mainframe and Databank. The cans inside either site are the same, and the Stellar Data found within can be turned into either the Amarr or the Minmatar to advance their progress.

Minmatar Collection Point - Amo 0.5, Metropolis
Amarr Collection Point - Mehatoor 0.7, Devoid
Result: Acquisition of sufficient research progress will complete the Stellar research project for that Faction.
