The Convocation of Empyreans and Aideron Robotics owns or has access to a few moons. These can be mined for resources used in our Industry and Reactions programs, which help support Aideron Robotics and the Gallente Militia in Faction Warfare.
What happens to my stuff?
We Provide:
- the moons and associated upwell structures with docking access
- Boosts and compression from orcas - if you are interested in bringing your own, please contact a Mining Manager or the Activities Director prior to the fleet.
- Buyback program: Buyback
- Ore reprocessing calculator: https://resources.empyreans.org/mining
- Regularly scheduled moon mining fleets. See the Events section in the Convocation of Empyreans Discord.
Safety and Guidelines
Although some of our moon mining occurs in high security space, this does not mean it is a “safe” activity. Moon mining fleets can be a tasty target for gankers, so the following guidelines and tips help ensure the safety of the fleet and the ability to continue moon mining in the area:
Following these guidelines and avoiding gankers is essential to continuing our moon mining operations.
- Activity
- Do not AFK mine. Dock up if you need to step away from the game.
- Do not flag yourself exempt from warp unless you do not want to receive emergency warps if gankers show up.
- Fitting
- DO NOT fit blingy (officers, faction, deadspace, ORE mining lasers) modules on your mining ship. You will only make yourself and the fleet a juicier target, which will encourage the gankers to return.
- Avoid bringing unnecessary ships to the fleet - if there are already 2-3 orcas with compression and boosting, check with the FC if more orcas are needed before putting yours on grid. Exhumers are allowed, but bring at your own risk - gankers may target exhumers first over T1 barges.
- Awareness
- Scouts in neighboring systems can raise the alarm if gankers are spotted heading towards the system where the moon mining fleet is.
- Keeping track of who enters or exits Local could provide enough warning for the mining fleet to warp to safety if gankers enter system and the alarm is raised quickly.
- Use D-scan to watch for approaching ganking ships - typically catalysts. At this point, the fleet will likely not all escape, but some ships may be able to warp off before the gankers arrive.
